Budding entrepreneur Paul Vale has been developing a successful online retail business in his own time, whilst holding down full-time employment with a major international engineering manufacturer. After plenty of planning and research, he felt now was the appropriate time to progress the business to incorporate a wider reach into the retail world by also incorporating a high street presence.
Paul made an enquiry to the Enterprise for Success programme and was quickly assigned his own personal business advisor who provided 1-2-1 specific support around his needs including the development of his new business venture, financing growth, advertising for staff and apprenticeships. He is also looking at attending some of the E4S popular workshops including the newly launched, “Stand up, Stand Out, Sell more” to help him get to grips with the latest sales and marketing strategies.
After just 10 weeks of trading Paul is confident enough to recruit additional staff and he is now advertising for his first employee, with additional required later in the year.
Talking about his new business, Paul says:
“During the development of both the ‘On Line’ and ‘High St’ outlets I’ve had support from two Blue Orchid advisors the most recent being Andy Blakemore, who has provided guidance on both employer responsibilities, finance and developing into the manufacture of my own products, the launch of which is imminent.”
